HVR-Z7 is the worlds first HDV handheld
camcorder with an interchangeable lens system, native
progressive recording, and solid-state memory recording. A
variety of video lenses can be attached to the HVR-Z7E, with

Records and Plays HDV, DVCAM and DV Formats,
HD and SD Down Convert, NTSC/PAL. It adheres to the HDV
Consortium's specifications for 1080i recording on popular DV
mini cassettes. This camera represents the widest array of
professional features within a new standard of miniaturization.
The HDV video standard will provide about double the resolution
of the old standard DV formats.
The design of the camera is aimed directly at the filmmaker, the
most modern event video producers and even widescreen news
shooters. Because it records in high definition and standard
definition modes it can be used in a variety of production
scenarios that may change from client to client or evolve over
time. It is NTSC and PAL system compatible as well.

The HVR-M25E supports HDV1080i, DVCAM and DV
recording and playback - providing users the ability to work
with both standard definition and high definition content. The
HVR-M25E is also compatible with standard size cassettes. The
DigitalMaster™ cassette can provide over 4 hours recording of
HDV content - the ideal choice when longer recording times are
required.
The HVR-M25E is designed for professional use - and includes a
convenient, integrated 16:9 LCD screen for content monitoring,
and HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) for simple
connectivity to HD consumer displays for added flexibility.

The HVR-M15P enable users to record and play
back video in a choice of formats - HDV 1080i, DVCAM and DV. It
also feature a down-conversion capability for 1080i recording,
which provides the flexibility to record in either standard
definition (SD) or high definition (HD) depending on your
production needs.
One of the most powerful features of these VTR is it's
compatibility with standard cassettes in addition to mini
cassettes, which provides extended recording time of up to 276
minutes. In addition, it provide a convenient function to copy
not just the video and audio of an original tape via an i.LINK
connection, but also the time code.
It is optimized for use with nonlinear editing systems thanks to
their highly compact size and easy operations.
